Welcome to Wellness

Hi, I’m Rachel Hicks—Registered Dietitian, yoga instructor, mountain chaser, and founder of THRIVE Wellness, where we believe in science-backed nutrition with a natural twist (and where coffee and plants are basically part of the food pyramid).

With over 15 years in the health and wellness field, I’ve worn a lot of hats: public speaker, personal trainer, retreat leader, and nutrition researcher—just to name a few. I’ve built wellness programs for hospitals in Maine, collaborated with LL Bean (yes, the outdoor gear legends), and led health initiatives for the Greater Richmond YMCA. I’ve also studied malnutrition in Ghana and explored nutrition sustainability in India, Nepal, and Tibet. Basically, if it involves empowering women to live healthier, more balanced lives—I’m in.

These days, my focus is on women’s health, hormone harmony, gut and inflammatory conditions, and Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT). I created THRIVE Wellness as a place where women can feel seen, heard, and supported—without the overwhelm. Whether we’re talking about measuring hormone levels, stress resilience, maintaining muscle mass, or what the heck is going on with your gut—I’m here for it.

When I’m not geeking out over functional health or guiding women toward vibrant living, you can find me hanging with my family, hiking mountains (Everest Base Camp, check!), lifting weights, or obsessing over my backyard garden.
